Composite material boats building, epoxy and fibreglass sandwich boats, with top lamellar mahogany core.

 

This kind of building, if the resistance is equal, is lighter (20-30%) than a monolithic fibreglass lamination, and it is comparable both to the aluminium constructions and to the "modern" composite material technologies, with lightened material core.

 

If compared with the latter, the top lamellar core gives a further guarantee, because unlike the special material cores, where you can see foams and several alveolus, the top lamellar material supports not only epoxy and glass fibre skins, but also all the stresses and pressures the boat is submitted to, and it can also guarantee on its own the solidity of the boat without the presence of skins.

 

Furthermore, the link matrix-fibre (that is the skin) and core is very strong; they are compatible and their link is exempt from disagreeable side effects like delamination and unsticking, due to flaws or bad processing of the material, that are hardly repairable.

 

Obviously since any material isn't perfect, the top lamellar has some flaws too; first of all, it is hardly bendable and it needs particular care during the gluing, lamination and filling stages. On the contrary, it leads to the creation of a monolithic and elastic hull, that is very light and very resistant.

 

The constructive system we use, allows us also to build a boat in one single copy, without using moulds, so it's possible to design and produce boats for special use, based both on our project and on client's specific requests.

 

The shipowner can also follow all the building stages and customize both the hull and the interior on specific requests and above all he can check the way we build his boat.

 

Furthermore, we offer repair services, we do structural changes and outfit of interior boats' spaces.
